The class is conducted at a slow pace and is gentle on the locomotor system. It uses exercises that gently relax the joints, but also stretch and strengthen the muscles in the body. The classes have aspects of yoga for a healthy spine classes, using massage balls and bolsters (pillows) for even better relaxation. Emphasis is placed on deep, sensed breathing that promotes proper processes in the body.
As the name suggests, this lesson is suitable for seniors, but is not age restricted. Our recommendation is 60+, but lessons can be attended by younger people who want to enjoy a class at a quiet pace.
