Despite the fact (or perhaps because of it😊) that I am an active type of person, yoga has enchanted me so much that it has become a part of my life. I first encountered yoga in 2004. I got to know it gradually, and since I was living in Prague at that time, I had many opportunities to go for yoga. I did Ashtanga yoga, Iyengar yoga, Hatha yoga and Kundalini yoga. I also attended shamanic seminars, family constellations, spontaneous dance… In 2007 I felt that I wanted to learn more about yoga and decided to undergo a yoga teacher training. These were wonderful moments full of joy, new knowledge, meeting open people and gathering new experience. After completing this course, I was tempted by Ashtanga yoga and I started to devote myself to it intensively, or at least I tried to do so, because at that time I had two small children and everyday practice, which is so important at Ashtanga, was a big challenge. I did not manage to practice every day, but I practiced very early in the morning and especially during classes with Lenka Kýrová and Dalibor Štědronský. Later I also attended a workshop with Dalibor Štědronský, who gave me a deeper insight into Ashtanga and gave me valuable advice. I also consider Jaro Pávek to be my teacher, from whom I also had the opportunity to learn a lot. Every seminar, whether it was about yoga, healthy exercise, ayurveda, shamanic rituals, Chinese medicine, alternative treatments, or qi gong, moved me somewhere and gave me something. Today I see yoga a little differently. Yoga is not just asana practice for me. It is a deep journey into its essence. Everything is related to everything. Interest in yoga, years of practice, moments spent with different people - all these experiences have been interconnected within me and I try to pass them on as a whole in my yoga classes. The path of yoga also taught me to perceive my body, breath, feelings and emotions. To realize the body's reactions to emotions. As we learn to work with our breath and attention, relaxation comes and the mind we can work with is calmed down. When we equalize the breath, the body is equalized. Regular internal practice teaches me to be an observer. By conscious work we can change the setting of the body, breath, but also the perception of the world around us. With love and gratitude. Yoga is a mission for me.

The lover of life's sinusoid - we are happy when we are up,but let us be more grateful for the deepest downsides, because if we don't experience them, we will never appreciate those mini-steps that will bring us back to balance. And this is how my yoga journey began. At a time of mental exhaustion, extremely weak immunity and back pain, I tried my first yoga classes. I continued to practice, my body became stronger, I got a more positive view of the world, and that's why I became a yoga teacher. Since 2008, I can pass on my experience and knowledge to you, my dear students.

Nature is the mother of my essence. Unity is the essence of my being. Yoga is Unity. The word yoga means unity, coherence, abandonment of perception - me and my body, me and others; and transformation into the perception of physical and mental being, the world, the universe and everything contained in them in a unified form. These values accompany me in my life. My journey led me through different countries and practices. First, I tried Tai Chi in Bermuda, where purely spiritual interest combined with physical practice and knowledge of the body and its energy. I got enthusiastic about Chinese medicine, which I wanted to study. But life took me to a different direction and I humbly accepted what it was offering - a qigong course in London, a masseur course, and then I finally came to yoga. For years I have been cultivating my physical and mental being, trying to bring them into everyday life. A yoga teacher training made it possible for me. In London, ZenYoga Teachers Training, Wellbeing and Meditation Teachers Training, and in Slovakia, I earned Power Yoga Instructor certificate. I am an active member and volunteer of the London Zen Sangha and I am continuously learning at various workshops and retreats both at home in Slovakia and abroad. I would like to share my experience and practice with you at my yoga for healthy spine classes, Zen yoga and regular Sunday group meditation. Also, on Tuesday yoga in Strba. Every last Thursday of the month I practice as a volunteer at the Senior House in Tatranska Strba. Indeed, volunteering is an extremely positive fulfilling activity. I am looking for people who would come with me to create lovely moments filled with hand massage and conversations with elderly people. If volunteering attracts you, please contact me as soon as we meet 😊. I look forward to seeing you. Veronika

Traveling has led me through many countries and lifestyles. My whole life is accompanied by movement - dance, acrobatics, traveling the world and now yoga. In my heart, meditation and the pursuit of presence in everyday life have become a home. Over time, I found that the body gets grounded and the mind is well prepared for meditation after a yoga session. And so, the active practice of yoga has become a home for meditation. After years of gaining experience, I finally settled down - under the Tatra mountains. I have taken courses at Zenyoga in London and earned a Power Yoga Instructor certificate in Yogo. I went through Zenways meditation teacher course and am a member of the London Zen Sangha. I continuously train at workshops and retreats. You can meet me at Power yoga classes, yoga for healthy spine, yoga for seniors or on a pillow at my group meditation every Sunday evening.

For several years I have been working as a physiotherapist with people with musculoskeletal problems. Every day I try to help people with acute or chronic back pain or other parts of the body. However, prevention of these conditions is my domain. By exercising, I would like to help you reduce pain, restore health, improve your body flexibility, relax overloaded muscles, strengthen your muscle corset and last but not least improve your fitness level. In my exercise I will try to use all my knowledge and combine individual rehabilitation methodologies and approaches in connection with the benefits of yoga. Yoga also offers psychosomatic problems, so if you have pain that has no clinical background, this exercise is for you. Yoga affects not only physical but also mental well-being. I will gladly be your companion on the way to a better health.

I started to deepen my relationship with yoga after my second daughter was born in 2016. Because I needed to relax and enjoy time for myself, it was yoga that charmed me with its strength of movement and calmness of the mind. It brings me inner peace, which I then try to give to my very energetic children. In 2018, when I got pregnant for the third time, I started leading Gravid yoga classes. It was a great experience, because I fit among the ladies with my big belly. Together we were able to find out what stages of pregnancy the female body goes through. Now we will meet in the power yoga classes and I believe you will find inner peace, well-being and improve your fitness. I look forward to seeing you

I’m the kind of person who has a hard time staying quiet. I'm a proud east Slovak, and most of the time you meet me with one child hanging around my leg… And the other thing that follows me out of pure love is my husband. I start the introduction with my “boys” because it has a lot to do with my journey to yoga. My total and unconditional passion for yoga came when I was on maternity leave. After 4 months I realized that a steam cylinder was passing through my back every day, that I had gone wrong with my posture, and even long-term dancing or martial arts habits could not save me from this disaster. So I went down to the yoga practice and started it all with a course at the IQ Movement Academy in Prague, which focused on functional exercises based on modern knowledge of yoga and physiotherapy. When I'm not changing diapers or feeding, I practice, and discover my calmer self. And what is my goal? The road! If you want to go along with me on this yoga path, come to my classes. I will be looking forward to you

Phrases such as "when I was a child I knew I was going to teach yoga and help people" sound like a cliché - but it really is true. Except when I was young, and even adult, there was not much of a rumor or hearing about yoga, or ayurveda in Poprad (where I grew up)… But there was a library - one of the most amazing places in every city or town - books that I have been eager to read… so I had already read old Indian epics of Ramayana, Mahabharata and many books from the “Philosophy”, “Esoteric”, “Healing” shelf in high school. During my teenage years and college studies, I discovered many of my passions - dance, yoga, aromatherapy and ayurveda. I traveled to India, where I deepened my knowledge and experience. I attended Hatha and Ashtanga yoga training. After returning from India I moved back home, under the Tatra mountains. I decided that I had to work on my dreams here because I feel my place is here. At Harmony studio I teach group and individual yoga classes of various kinds.

I have been practicing meditation, exercise and self-development since I was 16. In 2008 I had the "luck" to meet a very interesting teacher of Tai Chi and Chi Kung from the Czech Republic - Jan Pletánek. He showed me very quickly that the quality of a teacher does not determine whether the teacher is from China or India. Under his guidance, I learn to this day. I regularly attend weekend seminars and weekly workshops and so I enrich my everyday exercise. Because without putting in your own effort, knowledge is only a matter of showcase. In addition to Tai-Chi lecturing, I do Shiatsu and Shin Tai therapies.

On my yoga journey I try to keep moving forward and regularly attend trainings, workshops and meetings with teachers of traditional yoga schools such as Jaro Pávek, Manju Jois, Nancy Gilgoff or David Williams. I also get a lot of inspiration and motivation from my students. In my yoga classes I will be happy to share my experience with you and I will try to be your guide on the road ro inner peace, balance and the presence in our hurried world. I first got to yoga in 2010 when I felt a fundamental need to do something about my life. Yoga and my interest in other Eastern philosophies began to positively change my attitude to life. A major step on my yoga path came in 2016 when I met my current head teacher, Jar Pávek, who introduced me to a very traditional and original yoga system, also called Ashtanga. Since then, I have been practicing yoga very intensively, not only in the practice of asanas, but I try to understand the overall philosophy of yoga and use it in our hurried world. I look forward to meeting you 😊

"There's no other path for me than the one I walk on." Hello dear yogis, like every good bookworm I got to yoga through the book "Yoga for Beginners" at a time when you believe it or not, there was no yoga studio in Poprad (yes, it was long time ago 🙂). So, I tried it as a self-taught student, and it worked... So, I practiced it everywhere. My mat also accompanied me on my way to Australia and there I met some great teachers who taught me about yoga and moved me forward... Also in Bali, where I attended some workshops and courses and after years back under my beloved Tatra mountains. I felt that there must be something in yoga and I took a power yoga instructor course at the Power Yoga Academy Prague. Yoga is like music: the rhythm of the body, the melody of the mind and the harmony of the soul, and I still enjoy this symphony. I would love to listen to it with you at my classes in Harmony studio.
